We have launched a new assay, our PGFM (short for 13,14-dihydro-15-keto-Prostaglandin F2alpha) EIA kit. This is an exclusive licensed product from Professor Martin Dehnhard at the Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research in Vienna. The IZW has patented this assay as a method to predict the course of pregnancy in lions, tigers and other felids using non-invasive techniques. They have also shown that the elevation in the PGF2a metabolite occurs in other pregnant animals as well.
